Gov. Evers Plans “Moooola” for WI Farmers

Governor Tony Evers is including 80-million dollars in funding to support Wisconsin agriculture in the his upcoming executive budget proposal. 

The governor’s office has shared some details on spending plan ahead of its official release.  Some of the highlights include one-and-a-half-million for a brand new dairy farm improvement pilot program and more than three-and-a-half-million for covering some corn seed treatment costs.  The proposal also includes a larger investment in farmer mental health support and an expansion of the Wisconsin Farm Center.  The full executive budget will be released in less than two weeks.
