WI Piggy Bank Plumps Up, Budget Surplus Grows

– Estimates for Wisconsin’s state budget surplus are moving higher.

The Legislative Fiscal Bureau updated their financial figures this week.  The surplus is now projected at four-point-three-billion after first being estimated at right around four-billion even.  Governor Tony Evers is expected to submit his new budget proposal in a little over two weeks.  The spending plan is likely to set off lengthy budget negotiations with Wisconsin’s Republican lawmakers.
