WI Suits Up for Puppy Bowl, Local Animals Wait to Become Pets

A Wisconsin animal shelter is being represented in the Puppy Bowl for the second straight year.

Shelter officials at Big Lake Humane Society in Muskegon say a Siberian Husky/Terrier mix named Rory will take the field in this year’s canine football game. Last year, a beagle mix from the shelter named Dolly Barkon was in the bowl The Puppy Bowl airs live on Super Bowl Sunday each year on Animal Planet, to help raise awareness of adopting shelter pets.
