Leaders with the University of Wisconsin in Madison are removing the leader of their Division of Diversity, Equity, and Educational Achievement.
University officials say Doctor LaVar Charleston is no longer in the role and is returning to his appointment as a clinical professor in the School of Education. The move was based on concerns about financial operations in the division, according to administrators. Provost Charles Isbell Junior will be serving as interim DDEEA director.
