A total of eight school systems and public libraries in Wisconsin are participating in a nationwide cybersecurity initiative.
The Federal Communications Commission is running the pilot program at over 700 sites in the U.S. The three-year trial is meant to help evaluate how effective the FCC’s universal service fund is at providing resources to protect computer networks. Schools and libraries in Madison, Milwaukee, Beloit, and Lac du Flambeau are involved in the program.
