Wisconsin is getting 50-million dollars of federal funding to improve safety and mobility in two communities.
The Department of Transportation says both Milwaukee and the Menominee Nation will get 25-million dollars through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equality program. The City of Milwaukee will use the funding to add bike lanes, improve sidewalk spaces, and raise sidewalks on National Avenue. The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin will use the money to resurface almost 40 miles of roadways on Wisconsin Highways 47 and 55.
