Two areas in Western Wisconsin are among the fastest growing in the state.
That’s according to a new population project report from the Wisconsin Department of Administration, which factors in population age, fertility rates, and death rates. Trempealeau County is expected to be the second fastest growing county in Wisconsin through 2050, only behind Dane County. By 2050, Trempealeau is projected to grow by 27-percent. Eau Claire is also expected to continue growing by seven-percent.
