Ballot Measure Passes State Senate

Republican lawmakers are getting closer to presenting a ballot measure that would make Wisconsin’s voter ID law part of the state constitution.

The proposal passed the state senate in a party-line vote yesterday. The Assembly will likely vote on the measure next Tuesday. If passed, the proposed amendment will go on the ballot in April.
