A suspect in a Vernon County cold case is pleading not guilty.

According to records online, 61-year-old Michael Popp of Tomah pleaded not guilty on a 1st degree murder charge.   Court records also show that a status conference has been scheduled for June 9th.  Popp is being charged in the 1985 death of Terry Dolowy.  The victim had been reported missing by her fiancé and authorities found her burning body in a culvert near La Crosse.  Popp’s DNA matched a sample found during her autopsy and that led to his arrest.
