Driving Complaints Lead to Arrest, 3rd OWI

Roland Teetteh, 46 years of age, from Chicago, IL has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 3rd offense. 

On January 3rd at 11:02pm a Wisconsin State Trooper responded to a driving complaint on I94 near mile marker 98 westbound for a vehicle varying its speed and weaving across the lanes of travel. The vehicle failed to yield for the traffic stop and a pursuit ensued. An Osseo Police Department Officer and Trempealeau Sheriff’s Deputy successfully deployed tire deflation devices on the suspect vehicle near the 88 westbound offramp. The vehicle continued another two miles and was finally stopped after a Trempealeau Deputy performed a pursuit intervention (PIT) maneuver on the vehicle. A high risk stop was conducted and the male driver and female passenger were taken into custody.

The driver showed signs of impairment and was transported to a local hospital for a legal blood draw and later transported to the Jackson County Jail. The female passenger was transported to a hotel in Eau Claire. Teetteh was cited for felony fleeing, reckless driving, operating while intoxicated 3rd offense, possession of THC, speeding, and operating without a valid license.
