Chippewa County is looking to possibly replace the Highway M Bridge in Lake Holcombe.
The bridge is now 74-years-old, and is in rough shape. The county has lowered the weight limit on the bridge twice in the past two years. The worry is that the bridge may fail. The only problem is that it will cost as much as 15 million-dollars to replace the bridge. No one at the county is saying where that money will come from. County leaders will meet about the bridge next week.
