Flag Lowered, Former President Carter Honored

Flags will be at half staff for almost a month in Wisconsin to honor former President Jimmy Carter. Governor Tony Evers ordered the flags to be lowered starting yesterday.

He commended Carter for his work as a humanitarian, both during and after his presidency. Carter was the longest living former president, and lived until the age of 100 before he died yesterday. Flags will be at half staff until January 28.

Habitat for Humanity is remembering former President Jimmy Carter.

Carter spent years after he left office building homes for Habitat for Humanity. He was, in many ways, the group’s most famous volunteer.

Local CEO Hilary Parker said Carter personally impacted thousands of lives, and inspired millions more. There’s no word if there will be some kind of Habitat memorial for the former president.
