The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding people about the post-Christmas recycling rules. The DNR says each local recycling program will have its own rules, but in general you can recycle most wrapping paper. Bows, ribbons, and shiny wrapping paper should be thrown away. The state says it’s best to drop-off old Christmas lights to keep them out of trash compactors. Christmas trees can be recycled, but they have to be decoration free.
