Tree-Cycling the Tannenbaum

Tree-Cycling the Tannenbaum

Trees, yes. Christmas lights, no.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding people about the post-Christmas recycling rules. The DNR says each local recycling program will have its own rules, but in general you can recycle most wrapping paper. Bows, ribbons, and shiny wrapping paper should be thrown away. The state says it’s best to drop-off old Christmas lights to keep them out of trash compactors. Christmas trees can be recycled, but they have to be decoration free. The DNR has tips on its website, and says people should check with their local recyclers as well, CLICK HERE FOR MORE.
