Well, whether you are cranking the Christmas tunes while we still can, or counting down the beats until it’s out of the air, today and tomorrow will likely be full of at least one or two classic holiday songs. But what is top of the “Nice List?”
Billboard’s Top 100 Christmas Songs of All-Time is out, as voted on by Billboard staffers. Notable songs in the top 20 include “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway at number ten, Elvis Presley’s version of “Blue Christmas” at number 12, “Little Saint Nick” by The Beach Boys at number 16, and Chuck Berry’s “Run Rudolph Run” at number 20. No surprise that the song that tops the list is Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
Staffers’ pick for the top Christmas album, however, may come as a surprise. They selected the Soundtrack for “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by The Vince Guaraldi Trio.
And, it’s a big night for the big jolly man in the bright red suit!
