There are updates about the Abundant Life Christian School shooting as a community gathers for a candle light vigil to honor the victims and people affected by the tragedy.
Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes says the department is aware of a manifesto circulating online that some claim to be written by the suspect, 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow. He says detectives are still confirming the validity of the document and who shared it. Barnes says finding a motive is the police department’s top priority. One student and one teacher, were killed in the shooting yesterday afternoon, and six people were injured.
Investigators say the Rupnow then took her own life. Two victims are still in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
