Funding Set for WI Educators

Wisconsin is getting ten-point-five-million dollars to retain special educators.

The Department of Public Instruction says almost half of new special education teachers leave Wisconsin or the profession as a whole within six years. The US Department of Education says it gave Wisconsin the five-year grant to improve professional development and address staffing shortages in special education.
