Badger Volleyball Team Bumps Up

The Badgers’ women’s volleyball team advances to the regional final, but Marquette is out of the NCAA Tournament. 

The fifth-seeded Golden Eagles fell in four sets to University Park Regional host and top seed Penn State Friday.  Marquette fought off three-straight match points in the third set to force a fourth set.  Second-seeded Wisconsin outlasted sixth-seeded Texas A-and-M in five sets Friday in the semifinal of the Lincoln Regional, hosted by top-seeded Nebraska.  The Badgers saw a five-point lead cut to one in the fifth set before pulling it out 15-13.  Wisconsin faces Nebraska Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the regional final and the match will air live on ABC.  Sunday’s winner advances to the national semifinals at Louisville, Kentucky.
