Back to the Office or Back to the Battle?

Wisconsin’s governor is drawing a hard line over getting state employees back to their offices.

Governor Evers said during an interview on UpFront that he will veto the next state budget if Republican lawmakers demand that state workers go back to work in-person. The governor said he wants to focus on having the ‘best people’ working for the state. He’s not worried where they work. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has said he wants state employees back in the office at least four days a week.

On Sunday he took to Twitter to remind the governor that lawmakers have ignored almost every one of his budget requests in the past, and are likely to do so again next spring.
