The deceased individuals are identified as 72 year old Larry Rene, of rural Fall Creek and 52 year old Laura
Frasher, of Fairchild. Rene was the operator of the eastbound vehicle and Frasher was the operator of the
westbound vehicle. A passenger in Frasher’s vehicle remains hospitalized in stable condition.
The Sheriff’s Office sends its condolences to the family and friends of those involved.

On December 7, 2024, at about 12 pm, the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to E13855 US Highway 12, Fall Creek for a crash. Initial information was that a two-vehicle head on crash had occurred and both lanes of Highway 12 were blocked.
Upon arrival of Fall Creek Rescue, Fall Creek Fire and the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office it was determined that the drivers of both vehicles had succumbed to their injuries from the crash. Another passenger in one of the vehicles was air lifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Initial investigation determined that the vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 12 crossed the centerline and struck the westbound car head on. More details to follow as it is still under investigation.
