Grant Money Set to Expand Treatment Options in WI

Wisconsin is getting seven-million-dollars to expand access to substance use treatment.

The Department of Justice says the federal grant money will go toward the Wisconsin Deflection Initiative. The program helps people struggling with addiction connect with support services before they overdose or get in trouble with the law.

The DOJ says the initiative is possible through partnerships between health care providers, law enforcement, and emergency services.
