The young Eau Claire man who stole 100-thousand-dollars from his grandmother will not be going to jail.
An Eau Claire County judge yesterday instead sentenced 25-year-old Evan Daniels to probation. Investigators say he stole the money while he was supposed to be caring for his grandmother. His probation requires a mental health evaluation, and complete sobriety. The judge says they’ll figure out how much of the 100-grand Daniels has to pay back over the next two months.
