Blaze Orange and Whitetail Numbers Both Up

Wisconsin saw both more deer hunters, and more deer taken during this year’s gun season.

The Department of Natural Resources yesterday said hunters bagged 189-thousand deer this year. That’s over five percent more than last year. There were also more hunters this year. The DNR said it issued 791-thousand hunting licenses. This was the safest deer season in decades. The DNR says there was only one, non-fatal hunting related shooting this season.
