The FAA says it handled a record 232-thousand flights during Thanksgiving week.

More than 52-thousand flights carried passengers last Tuesday alone.  Officials say just one-and-a-half percent of all flights were delayed or cancelled which is also a record.  To help handle the heavy volume, the FAA allowed commercial aircraft to use special military airspace off the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico.
