Bucky Basketball Puts Up Wins

The Badger men’s and women’s basketball teams are helping to warm fans’ hearts after the football team’s loss on Friday. 

Both the UW men and women posted wins on Saturday.  The 17th-ranked Badger men’s basketball team remained unbeaten with a 74-53 win over Chicago State at the Kohl Center.  John Tonje hit nine-of-ten free throws and led all scorers with 22 points. 

The Badger women capped their appearance in the Cancun Challenge on a winning note with a 58-45 victory over Virginia Commonwealth.  Carter McCray led Wisconsin with 19 points and eight rebounds as the Badgers posted a two-and-one record in the holiday tournament and improved to seven-and-two overall.
