There are a record number of registered apprentices in Wisconsin this year.
The Wisconsin Registered Apprentice Program allows students to have paid on-the-job training at the same time they complete their education. The state Department of Workforce Development says there are more than 17-thousand people enrolled in the program this year. That’s almost a thousand more than last year’s record-breaking number.
