On the above date and time the Chippewa County Sheriff’s office received a report of a single vehicle crash, and the vehicle was on fire.
Units responded and discovered that a truck was West bound on STH 64 when the truck left the roadway and collided with multiple trees causing heavy front-end damage. The truck subsequently became engulfed in flames. The driver, 62 year old Chong Xiong, was the lone occupant and was removed from the vehicle with the assistance of a passerby. He was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The Crash is currently still under investigation by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office.
