American Legion Plans Mural

The American Legion in Eau Claire is raising money for a new mural.

Legion Post 53 says it wants to work with local artists to paint a mural on its building. The mural will go behind the Welcome Home statue that currently sits in front of the Legion. The Legion’s Bradley Venaas says the idea is to paint a mural of soldiers who will then get their salute from the Welcome Home statue. There’s no word on just how much the mural will cost, but Venaas says the Legion is raising money right now.
