Prosecutors in Rusk County are moving ahead with charges against a registered sex offender who they say lied about where he was living.
Michael Crouse has been on Wisconsin’s sex offender registry since his 2004 conviction for child sexual assault. He’s supposed to let the state know where he lives, but investigators say he lied about living in Bloomer. They also say Crouse was babysitting children. Before moving to Bloomer, prosecutors say Crouse was homeless in Ladysmith.
