45 is 47 for the 50 States (Again): Trump Wins Presidential Election 2024

We are on the other side of Election Day 2024 and Donald Trump is now the President-Elect.

On early Wednesday, the Republican candidate secured more than enough electoral votes to win Tuesday’s general election. Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to become only the second President in U.S. history to be elected to non-consecutive terms. In a victory speech, Trump said America is about to enter a golden age, and vowed to deliver a prosperous America.

On the other side of the ticket, Kamala Harris is expected to speak this morning after losing her Democratic bid to become the first woman in the Oval Office. Campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond told supporters gathered at Harris’ election night watch party at Howard University in DC that the Vice President will speak to crowds in the morning.

Campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond told supporters gathered last night at her election night watch party that Harris will make remarks this morning at her alma mater, Howard University. Harris graduated from Howard in 1986 with a degree in political science and economics.

Across the Union, there were many other races and questions as well and on that note, abortion rights protections were passed in eight U.S. states on Tuesday. Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada and New York all passed measures that would amend their state constitutions to establish a woman’s right to abortion. Two other states rejected an abortion amendment. A near-total ban will remain in effect in South Dakota, and in Florida, most abortions will continue to be banned after six weeks.
