Polls Show Tie, VP Candidates Return to WI

Polls are showing a tight race just ahead of the presidential election.

NBC News’ Steve Kornacki on former President Trump’s easiest path to victory.

The final NBC News poll released Sunday shows Vice President Harris and Trump locked in a dead heat. Each candidate received 49-percent support in the national poll.

It’s similarly close in key swing states. Vice President Harris holds slight leads in Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Georgia according to new polls from the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer and Siena College. Their polling found Trump holding the edge in Arizona while the two candidate were tied in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, the attention continues for our state.

The VP candidates will both be in La Crosse later today. Both Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance will be in town for campaign stops.

Walz is hitting La Crosse as part of a three-city-swing today.

Vance has a rally scheduled.
