Equipment Violation Leads to OWI

Kassie Lee Conley, 34 years of age, from South Range, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin
State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one
child in the vehicle under the age of 16.


On November 1st, 2024, at approximately 6:57 pm, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a
traffic stop for an equipment violation on Highway C at Highway A, near Superior Village.
The Trooper observed that the driver, Kassie Conley, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent
investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Ms. Conley was operating a
motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Ms. Conley was subsequently
arrested and charged with operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance
1st offense while having a minor passenger in the vehicle, possession of THC, and possession of
drug paraphernalia. The 8-year-old passenger was turned over to his father.


Ms. Conley was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of her blood and later
released to a responsible party.
