Most of Wisconsin’s counties that are seeing record-low unemployment are the state’s smallest.
The governor’s office yesterday said nine counties are all seeing record-low unemployment, below three percent. Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Door, Langlade, Oconto, Pepin, Rock, and Sawyer counties are all on that list. Langlade has the highest of the low-unemployment-counties with two-point-seven percent, while Door County is the lowest at one-point nine percent. Rock County is the largest of those counties. The governor’s office says statewide unemployment remains unchained at just under three percent.
