A lot of people wanted to vote early. Yesterday was the first day for in-person early voting in Wisconsin, and several communities saw long lines of voters.
Milwaukee was one of them. Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Paulina Gutierrez said there were nearly 75 people waiting in line at 9 a.m. yesterday morning. Election managers in Mequon and New Berlin also reported long lines of early voters.
Democrats in Wisconsin have enjoyed an early voting lead in the past. It remains to be seen if that will be the case again this year.
