Ex CEO And Associates Charged With Sex-Trafficking, Arrest Made in WI

Former Abercrombie and Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries and two associates are being charged with running a sex-trafficking ring in New York City.

Federal prosecutors say Jeffries and his romantic partner, Matthew Smith, employed James Jacobson to recruit young aspiring male models and engage in sexual “tryouts” with them between 2008 and 2015. The selected victims were then allegedly flown to sex parties at Jeffries’ and Smith’s New York City and Hamptons homes and at hotels around the globe. An indictment charges all three with sex trafficking and interstate prostitution and names 15 victims but authorities say there are dozens and dozens of others. Jeffries and Smith were arrested in Florida and Jacobson was taken into custody in Wisconsin.

All are expected to be arraigned in Brooklyn following appearances in federal court in the two other states.
