WI Football Weekend: Badgers Add a Win, Packers Top Houston

The Badgers extend their winning streak to three with a 20-point win at Northwestern.

Wisconsin held the Wildcats to nine first downs and just over 200 total yards offense in a 23-to-3 win on Saturday. The Badgers have allowed only a touchdown and three field goals in their last three games, outscoring their opponents 117-to-16. Wisconsin faces one of its toughest opponents of the season for Homecoming next Saturday. The Badgers host nationally third-ranked Penn State in prime time. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and will air live on NBC and Peacock.

On to the Green and Gold…

Packer fans now know the team’s new kicker. Brandon McManus drove through the winning field goal yesterday as time expired, to give Green Bay a 24-22 victory over the Houston Texans. Houston took the lead with about a minute to go, but Jordan Love drove the Packers into field goal territory, and McManus took it from there. The win improves the Packers’ record to 5-2, and puts them in third place in the NFC North.
