Move Over Columbus

Forget Columbus Day, Wisconsin’s governor and other top Democrats all celebrated Indigenous People’s Day yesterday.

Governor Evers marked the day with a quick video and some kind words about the state’s tribes. The top Democrat in the Wisconsin Senate, and the state’s attorney general offered similar thoughts. Even pieces of state government got-in-on the celebration. The state’s Department of Health Services and Department of Agriculture both took to Twitter to mark Indigenous People’s Day.
