The Eau Claire school bus driver who crashed on the way to a field trip in the Twin Cities is no longer facing charges.
Prosecutors in St, Croix County dismissed the misdemeanor charges in the case. The D.A. originally charged the bus driver after he drove into the back of a tanker truck on I-91 back in April. Eight people, including six students, were hurt in the wreck. Police gave the driver a ticket, and the D.A. filed charges because he didn’t think the driver had the proper license. Turns out the driver did, so the charges were dropped.
