Yesterday’s threat against Nathan Hale High Schools is just the latest in Wisconsin this week, and the latest in what investigators are calling a ‘threat wave.’
The state’s Department of Justice yesterday said the wave has meant threats to dozens of school districts, all of them so far have turned out to be unverified. Trish Kilpin with the Wisconsin Office of School Safety says there have been over 100 threats in this wave, many of which have come into the state’s Speak Up, Speak Out tip line. But investigators don’t know who is making the threats. Last year’s wave of threats came largely from out of state and overseas.
