“These funds create an opportunity to continue our focus on developing a strong healthcare workforce.”

CVTC Foundation, Inc., the fundraising arm of Chippewa Valley Technical College, announced the transfer of nearly $330,000 from the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation to the college. The endowments, which were raised by the Foundation of HSHS Sacred Heart and HSHS St. Joseph’s hospitals and earmarked for healthcare education, will be utilized as close as possible to the original donor’s intent while also aligning with the hospitals’ mission.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to steward these funds and continue the legacy of HSHS Foundation donors in the Chippewa Valley,” said Karen Kohler, CVTC Foundation, Inc., executive director. “These funds create an opportunity to continue our focus on developing a strong healthcare workforce.”

The HSHS endowments are expected to support education in nursing, rehabilitation, neurology, and neurosurgery, and healthcare seminars and academic programming.

“We’re thankful for Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation and its work to keep Chippewa Valley donor dollars in the community,” said CVTC President Sunem Beaton-Garcia. “The hospitals’ Foundation has supported the community for many years, and its continued dedication to uplift our students in healthcare programs is commendable.”
