Loyal Community Connects After Devastating Fire, Donation Opportunities Set Up

A community continues to come together in the aftermath of a destructive fire.

In the overnight hours, a fire destroyed the laundromat, fitness center and food pantry in Loyal. Responders and firefighters from Loyal, Spencer, Greenwood, Granton, Colby/Abbotsford, Owen-Withee and various EMS Services were on scene for hours.

The Root Beer Stand delivered hamburgers to the firefighters at 1:40 in the morning, proving that even in the face of destruction, folks in our area step up to help one another. If you are interested in ways you can help:

A Loyal Fire Fund has been set up at:

Citizens State Bank of Loyal for monetary donations for displaced victims of the fire.

There is also an account for Loyal Food Pantry for loss of equipment.

This is the first phase of donations. They are looking for clothing, toiletries, and food for all affected.

Donations can be dropped off at Loyal American Legion, Friday 1:30 – 8:00, Saturday 9:30 – 2:00.
