It’s a million-dollars bond for the young man accused of killing a UW-Whitewater student.
A Walworth County judge yesterday set Chad Richards’ bond in the death of Kara Welsh. Police say they found her shot to death on Friday night at an off-campus apartment. It’s not clear if the two dated, or how they knew each other. Welsh was a member of Whitewater’s gymnastics team, and Richards was a wrestler at the school for his first two years.
Welsh’s friends continue to say she was a sweet woman, and friendly to almost everyone. Richards remains in jail.
