Republican lawmakers at the Wisconsin Capitol are reminding parents that it is more expensive to head back to school this year.
Senator Howard Marklein is using this weekend’s Republican Radio Address to hammer the president on back-to-school price increases. He says it’s 25-percent more expensive to head back to classes this year than it was in 2019. Marklein said the price tag for back-to-school is nearly 875 dollars this year. He says that includes price increases on everything from backpacks, to shoes, to the cost of pencils and paper.
