The woman who says she killed her sex trafficker is headed to prison for a little more than a decade.
A Kenosha County judge yesterday sentenced Chrystul Kizer to 11-years in prison. She made national headlines back in 2018 when she killed Randall P. Volar, then set his house on fire. Kizer said she was a victim, and had no choice but to kill Volar. Advocates eventually raised the money to bail her out of jail, but she was then re-arrested after getting into a fight with another man who she said sex trafficked her.
The judge yesterday said Kizer’s case is tragic, but he said she doesn’t get to decide who lives and who dies.
