Wisconsin’s latest jobs report shows thousands of lost jobs last month.
The unemployment report for July shows the private sector lost 85 hundred jobs last month. The total non-farm jobs number dropped 65-hundred jobs. Still, Wisconsin’s unemployment rate held steady at three percent, and the labor participation rate held steady at 65-and-a-half percent.
That labor participation rate is better than the national rate, but is still lower than Wisconsin’s rate before COVID.
