Public health managers in Eau Claire are getting ready to ask people about their healthy food habits.
The county’s health department just received a nearly 50 thousand-dollar grant to study food security in rural, northwestern Wisconsin. The hope is to find a way to get more local, healthy fruits and vegetables on to people’s tables. The health department’s Janessa VandenBerge says they will likely start their survey next month, and look to have some answers perhaps by the end of the year.
