Kamala Harris and her as-yet-to-be-announced running mate will visit Wisconsin next week.
Her campaign office confirms a visit is planned in Eau Claire on Wednesday. The vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential candidate is expected to name her pick for VP by Tuesday. Harris has visited Wisconsin five other times this year.
Kamala Harris is now the first Black woman to lead a major national ticket. On Friday, Harris secured enough delegate votes to become the official Democratic nominee for president, and has a chance to become the first woman in American history to lead the country. Harris crossed the threshold of delegate votes during a virtual roll call on Friday, and will officially accept the nomination next week.
