Workers Comp. Insurance Premiums See Decline

Insurance premiums for workers compensation in Wisconsin continue to decline.

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development says starting in October, companies will pay ten-point-five percent less on average for workers compensation. That totals about 206-million dollars in savings over the next year statewide. Specific changes in insurance premiums for employers vary based on factors like injury risk exposure. Workers comp pays for medical expenses and lost wages for employees who were injured at their workplace.
