It’s jail time for a Fond du Lac man who threatened to kill his state lawmaker.
Fond du Lac District Attorney Eric Toney yesterday said a judge sentenced 75-year-old James Stearn to a week in jail, and a 500 dollar fine. Stearn sent emails to a local radio host and his lawmaker after the Uvalde shooting in 2022, threatening to kill them both. Stearn was angry about the idea of arming teachers inside local schools. Toney says the case sends the message that political violence is never acceptable, in any form.
