Settlement Reached in Liquid Smoke Plant Pollution

The Wisconsin A-G has reached an 85-thousand-dollar settlement with a local company for violating state air laws.

Attorney General Josh Kaul says a Kerry Incorporated liquid smoke plant was not properly observing its air emissions and didn’t operate its air pollution control equipment as its permit required. The Wisconsin Department of Justice says tips from the public were key in starting the investigation into Kerry. The public can anonymously report tips to the DNR Tip Hotline at any time.
