We could get some more answers about the rules for absentee voting in Wisconsin by the end of the day.
The legislature’s Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules will meet this morning to talk about the rules for absentee voting, as well as the rules for ballot challenges. Lawmakers are looking at the mandate from the Wisconsin Elections Commission for one set of rules for absentee voters this year. Absentee voting will be a focus this fall with both new absentee ballot witness envelopes and ballot drop boxes back in use.
